City Building has launched its recruitment for 60 apprenticeships to work within the Construction Industry during National Apprentice Week.
They are looking for plumbers, electricians, painters and decorators and joiners.
Dr Graham Paterson, executive director at City Building said:
“Since taking up leadership of City Building, one of the things I have been most proud of is the success of our apprenticeship programme.
“City Building is one of the biggest employers of apprentices in Scotland, supporting around 300 people through training at any one time. Since 2006 we’ve also helped more than 1,200 individuals get their qualifications, and offered the majority full time positions within the company.
“When they first come through our doors at Queenslie Training College, many of them are just young boys and girls who are not long out of school. They are usually excited about, and slightly daunted by, the path ahead of them.
“At City Building, we have the pleasure of watching these young people grow up to become mature, consciences, and successful adults. To be a part of this journey is really something special.”
